Bum Genius

Cloth Diapering is not what it was 27 years ago. My Mom used cloth diapers with the good ole fashioned safety pins. (Yikes- sharp needles and a wiggly baby doesn't seem to mix too well.)

I love my cloth diapers. I have met several other Moms who use them and everyone seems to have a different reason for their love. I am not using cloth for 'green' reasons nor because they are cute and trendy, but for the love of saving

money! Yes, we

do an extra load of laundry each day, but the savings have really added up.

I chose the BumGenius brand. I was given an amazing shower- these ladies gave me 15 diapers (inserts included), 1 large diaper bag, 1 small diaper bag and 1 diaper sprayer.

A day in the life of a Lewis

We had a great day! It began by a great night of sleep... only 4 nighttime feedings. (I know that's still a lot, but it's much better than it had been.) Once we both woke up we took a bath and got dressed. (He loves taking baths.) We made it to Panera for breakfast to visit with Jessica and Melody.

Lewis took 2 very long naps allowing me to get some things done and relax myself. (Don't worry I don't leave him on the couch alone.)

I feel so blessed to have a son. Even when our days are hard and tiresome I remember to be thankful. It's just days like these make me extra thankful.
