Scooter Time

So Tim and I are seriously thinking about getting a scooter. We have been researching it and so far our pick is the unisex blue one below. You won't believe this.... it gets 123 miles per gallon! This is the Yamaha Zuma 2009. We like it not only because of the gas mileage, but that it seats two people and it's not super girlie looking. Obviously, I like the girlie ones better, but this will do. Tell me what you think.

Packing for his first trip alone with the teens and no wife

I am currently watching Tim do laundry and pack... yes, that's right... doing laundry! I know, I'm amazing... no wait... Tim's amazing. I love that my husband will do his own laundry... sometimes he will throw in a few of my clothes too.

So Friday morning at 4:30 am Tim is taking our Junior High teens to Nashville for IMPACT. It's going to be an amazing trip! I will be bringing up our Senior High teens on Monday to join in the fun. It's going to be HOT, BUT FUN.

I'm really looking forward to a few days alone. I have been so busy and over-loaded this is going to be a nice weekend with not much to do. Heather and I are going to have a date night since both of our husbands are out of town.... her husband is currently learning to jump out of airplanes with an oxygen tank strapped on... while mine is going to be running around with 12 middle schoolers wishing he was the one jumping out of an airplane. (no just kidding... tim is an amazing youth minister and our kids aren't that bad.) ;)

Well Tim wants me to get in the living room so we can watch another episode of 24! That show is amazing!!!! I get so into it that I forget it's not for real.

Well I really haven't done much blogging, but I thought this could be fun.... So here it goes:

I really do love being a youth minister's wife. I was just talking to my sister-in-law yesterday, who is also a youth minister's wife, about how different it is compared to a wife of a dentist, banker, doctor, trashman, etc. You are in the public's eye. You are being watched constantly.  It's not just that, but your life becomes the people at your congregation. Tim and I practically live at our church building. Yes, I am not a paid youth minister, but I do almost as much as Tim. 

Currently I'm looking for a job, but it's hard to find a job that won't interfere with our ministry. Our ministry is the number one reason we are here, but if a job gets in the way of our church family it just won't work.

Well I guess that's all I have to say right now.
