New Years in Kansas

We went to Wichita for the New Years and the week that followed. With Kansas' winter weather in full effect it was a nice break from the warm south. We stayed with my brother and his wife, Greg and Melissa, and their three boys, Keegan, Kaelen and Kendrick.

This was Lewis' first time to see snow! At one point he wanted me to wipe it off of his shoes and gloves thinking it was dirty. Once he realized everyone else had it on their shoes too he was okay.

We found a few sleds in my brother's garage. This one was my Mom's as a child! Cute, huh?

We found one with a rope to pull Lewis around.

We had to borrow a coat for Tim so he could join in the fun.

A few falls, but Lewis got right back up.

I too was not dressed for the occasion in my Toms and PJ bottoms.

Keegan coming to join us.

Eventually, all the boys made their way out to play together!

Lewis loves his cousins! They were very sweet with Lewis even when he would bop them on their heads and take their toys. (We are working on 'no hitting!')

Kaelen is teaching Lewis to catch snow in his mouth...

Lewis understood the tongue thing, but he did not understand that he needed to point it to the sky!
