(Bowman family. Thanksgiving dinner a few years ago. Lela is 2nd from the right on the back row.)
Tim's grandmother passed away on July 22nd. Although we expected this to happen soon it's still hard when a loved one leaves you. Thankfully, we have the confidence she is with her Lord in Heaven. She was a strong believer in Christ and a member of the Old Union Church of Christ in North Lewisburg, OH. Lela's survivors include husband, Owen, four children, many grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. Lewis is the youngest great grandchild. We were sad they never had the chance to meet.
At the Old Union Church of Christ. The graveyard in back is where Lela was buried.
Lewis and great grandpa, 95 years old. Grandpa loved meeting Lewis. He kept telling us how beautiful he was and how he was such a big baby.
Grandpa is leaning in for a kiss on Lewis' cheek.
Tim and Tony were pallbearers.
The service was very sweet and intimate. As you can see from the pictures above it is a very small building with just one room off to the side for Pot Luck Sunday's.
A blessing from all this... it spurred on a Randolph family reunion. Big Tim's brothers and family travelled in for the viewing. We went to dinner afterwards.
